AREA NEWSLETTER. ISSUE 1.
Dear Area Member March 2008.
Firstly, I would like to thank Martyn Edwards and the other committee members who resigned at the end of last year for all of their hard work throughout the years. We have a new committee now and their names can be found at the bottom of this newsletter.
The Junior Academy is up and running. It was encouraging to see so many parents at the recent launch meeting. Please contact Jan Rees for more information or check out the Area 35 website.
We have altered the rules for the Area Points competition for 2008. A copy is attached or again, please check the website.
This year, the dinner and dance will be held in the Marriot Hotel, Cardiff on Friday 31st October. Geoff Billington has been booked as the after dinner speaker so a great evening is anticipated.
We have two riders on the committee to represent your views. Please have a chat with Paul Taylor (seniors) or Griff Griffiths (juniors / under 25) at any of the shows and they will ensure that your views are made known to us. Alternatively, contact me via the website or come and see me at one of the shows around the area.
The Area Show will not run this year. It will hopefully be replaced with a two day show, to be held (possibly) at Pencoed. Please check the website for more up to date information.
We intend to put more and more information on the website. Currently, you can read an update report from the AGM held in January. Newsletters will also be available on the site so if you do not have access to the web then please let me know and we will mail a copy of any further newsletters to you.
As we move towards the start of the outdoor jumping season, everyone on the Area 35 committee wishes you a successful and enjoyable year.
